Who We Are
Trisha Patel, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch, where she also completed an internship in internal medicine. She then went on to complete a residency in dermatology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Patel has been named a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the American Medical Association, and the Skin of Color Society.
Dr. Patel has an interest in treating dermatologic health disorders, including alopecia (hair loss), inflammatory dermatoses (rashes), and cutaneous malignancies (skin cancers) in both children and adults. She understands the variability in skin pigmentation, especially among multicultural and ethnic backgrounds, and is proficient in identifying a patient’s skin type before considering treatment options. She is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life with good skincare and finds it to be truly rewarding watching her patients awake with a new sense of confidence and approach to the world. What Dr. Patel enjoys most about dermatology is the ability to make a visible impact in her patient’s lives, especially patients that suffer from physically distressing conditions.
